Miley Ray Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, was born to Tish Cyrus Billy Ray Cyrus, and her siblings in Thompson's Station in Tennessee. Miley is the youngest of five brothers and sisters - two older siblings as well as a younger sister. The parents of Miley named her with the hope they would have her succeed. Miley was her childhood nickname because of the jovial nature of Miley. Her father was an elected Democratic politician who was named Ron Cyrus. Cyrus began her education at Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. Her family relocated from Tennessee Toronto Canada in the year she turned eight years old. Billy Ray Cyrus took on the role of Doc (2001) as a lead on the TV show. It was around this time when Cyrus determined that she wanted to act as well. Her first role came alongside her dad as Doc Doc (2001). Additionally, she had part in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Cyrus was cast in 2005 as the main character of the Disney TV series Hannah Montana, which is the story of a teenage girl who has an ambiguous life. The father of her character was back along with the show. The performance was huge and hit records tour sell-outs and merchandising deals soon were followed. Cyrus rose to fame as an early teen. Cyrus began to take on various roles in the wake of her success with Hannah Montana (2006). These included playing Ronnie Miller (in The Last Song 2010, 2010) and Lola (in LOL (2012)) along with Demi Moor.
